About the teacher:

Lien Siwalette is a recognized Thai massage teacher,  affiliated with the T.M.C.school in Chiang Mai. As a child of Moluccan parents, and raised in a closed community in Westerbork, in the Netherlands, lien grew up with pitjit (massage). She brought up with the natural elements, such as  air and fire at a young age. Terms such as masuk angin, freely translated: the entry of the wind and panas dalam, which means too much heat in your body, were often used in daily life. Just like with the Thai massage, the 4 elements: fire, wind, air and earth can no longer be ignored in her massage treatments.

Lien has a dance background as a dancer and instructor in Eastern dance technique and Oriental dance. During the lessons, the massage postures will also be carefully examined, which is very important.

Why Thai massage?

What fascinates me in this massage form is the massage technique. The even rhythm of the massage creates a cadence that has a meditative effect, for both the massaged person and the masseur. As a senior citizen of 65 years, it still keeps me flexible in my body.

We want to do this in collaboration with local organizations.
